Chiropractor: Dr Rob Hutchings
Renowned and well respected Adelaide chiropractor, Dr Rob Hutchings is the founder of Health Align and together with his wife, Tansy Boggon, has created this unique centre to guide and educate clients on the best ways to live their life with optimal health.
Dr Rob Hutchings grew up in Newfoundland, Canada. When he was 13, he began training for triathlons. At age 16, he sustained a back injury between his thoracic spine and was unable to lift his arms above his head. After 6 months of conventional therapy, he was about to give up hope of ever returning to triathlon training. By chance he visited a chiropractor. He was skeptical initially and admits now to thinking the chiropractor was an uneducated “quack” doctor. When he was showen his x-rays, he saw that his spine was out of alignment, and he reluctantly allowed the chiropractor to adjust him. Within days he was able to resume training and went on to qualify for the Canadian Triathlon team on two occasions.
Rob then decided to become a chiropractor and studied Kinesiology for 3 ½ years at the University of New Brunswick, and then his 4 year chiropractic degree at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in England. He moved to Australia in 2002 and relocated to Adelaide in 2004. He opened his own practice at that time on Unley Road. In 2008, he and his wife Tansy moved the practice to Glen Osmond Road and re-branded the office as Health Align. They expanded the practice to include Pilates, massage, nutritional therapy and personal development.
Rob still enjoys triathlon and marathon swimming, has taken up Pilates and Yoga and in his spare time enjoys camping, hiking and drawing cartoons. He remains a chiropractic patient and credits chiropractic to his long term health and wellness.
